The Pandas started their cross country season in a strong way on Friday as they took on Upper Darby, Marple Newtown, and Interboro at the Royals Invitational. 

The Pandas finished with 5 girls in the top 10, with 6 girls in the top 12. Lead by Royals Invitational winner Jenna Rastatter, who ran a personal best time of 20:48.9, she was quickly followed by senior Sam Gliwa (5th), sophomore Maggie Salter (7th), freshman Hailey Bierling (9th), and junior Charlotte McDermott (10th). The top five athletes gave the Pandas a score of a 32, not too far off of Upper Darby Royals.

Junior Hannah Bierling also had a strong showing, finishing 12th and helped cement any tie breaker. 

Notable performances out of first race freshman Mary Greiner (17th) and DeeDee O'Dea (18th), with Shyann Bilbrough running a personal best as well early in the season.

The Pandas look to continue their success as regular season PCL meets begin on Wednesday, with the Briarwood Invitational around the corner.
