BP GIRLS VOLLEYBALL TRYOUT INFORMATION

1)  YOU MUST HAVE A PIAA SPORTS PHYSICAL COMPLETED BEFORE TRYOUTS.  YOU WILL NOT BE             ABLE TO TRYOUT WITHOUT ONE. 

      a)  This form is on the BP website.       bonnerprendie.com  

           - Click on Athletics

           - Click on PIAA Forms 

           - This is the PIAA Sports Physical Form - Section 7 - print it out - this is the      

              form that is to be filled out by the doctor and then uploaded to the FamilyID website.  

           - The rest of the questions from the PIAA Physical form are on the FamilyID website when you register. 

               

2) Bonner & Prendie Athletic's will be using the website - FamilyID.com for all Fall Sports signups.   

     

    The completed PIAA Physical form must be downloaded onto FamilyID.com  BEFORE the first day of            tryouts. 

3) If you cannot get an appointment with your physician, you can go to one of the Minute Clinics that offer to                do sports physicals.  The sports physical must be dated after June 1, 2020 to cover the upcoming school year.  

4) TRYOUTS:   BP GYM 

      You must attend all tryouts.  Tryouts will begin on Monday, August 16th and continue all week.  

Monday, 8/16 through Friday, 8/20   --  6:00pm to 9:00pm 

     -Everyone including returning players and new players will be trying out. 

    -There will be cuts. 

    -There are definitely three/four days of tryouts depending on the number trying out. 

    -There may be a first cut after the second day, depending on the amount of girls trying out. 

    - I carry no more than 12 on the JV squad and 12 on the Varsity Squad.   

4) ALL PLAYERS MUST WEAR KNEEPADS.

    PLEASE BRING A WATER BOTTLE WITH YOUR NAME ON IT AND EXTRA WATER FOR YOURSELF.

    THERE WILL BE NO SHARING.  

    THERE IS NO AC IN THE GYM AND IT CAN GET A BIT WARM.   

    PLEASE BRING A NUTRITIOUS SNACK FOR BREAK.  

5) Please run over the rest of the summer - a little at a time to help build up your stamina.  We warm up                        everyday at practice and tryouts by doing the mile.  (Not timed)  I don't want anyone to get sick on the first              day of tryouts.   

6)  If a student has not been fully vaccinated they must wear a mask at tryouts.  If they have been vaccinated, I just need to see their card showing me the dates.  This way I can mark it off my list.
